Providing Help for Prospective First Year Postgraduates

and Searching English Partner

I don’t want to be tortured by my academic dissertation, so I write down this passage for fun... for providing help for prospective first year postgraduates and searching English partner.

I’m in the third year of Foreign Linguistics and Applied Linguistics in Sichuan International Studies University (SISU for short).

I took IELTS test last year and got 6.5 in all, with 7.5 (Listening), 7 (Reading), 6 (Writing) and terrible 5 (Speaking) respectively. I was very nervous when talking with a foreigner, because I haven’t communicated with them before. It was the first time for me to chat with them in English. From that moment on, I firstly know that there are so many foreigners in my school. Hahahah.

Uhhh, stop finding excuse. Well, I think I only got 5 in the speaking part, it’s all because of my limited vocabulary. During three years life of being postgraduates in SISU, I spent almost all my spare time reading books related to my major written in Chinese, although I’m an English major. That may be one reason for my poor oral grades.

Please allow me to show off achievements... I have published about 10 pieces of papers during my postgraduates life, one of which will be published in one core magazine in the discipline of foreign languages. I have received the most honorable prize awarded by Ministry of Education: National Scholarship. My feeling is just like I can graduate from SISU using my academic ability, while there is still a far way for me to go when talked about my English. So I wanna practice oral English as much as I can.
